Whirling Text

Whirling Globe just launched a new site for the 2006 UVA Graduate English Department Conference, Worlding the Text: Crosscurrents in Literary Studies (Ania Wieckowski designed the site’s text logo and the globe image at left). The Times Literary Supplement punned on last year’s conference titles and panels in the May 15, 2005 issue; buzz was that last year’s conference site gave us some cred.

Hmm…looks good, although I don’t like the crufty <font size=+3> text in the globe image. Why is this text there? And why is it the most legible?

An excellent point, Erich. I’ll take it up with Ania.
