Hey Kristen--

I'm glad to see that you expanded de-lurking day into a week, since I forgot to comment yesterday. I might soon need your web skills to upgrade my blog--which has become a bit visually unwieldy.

Amanda, do join the web intensive. Your mad CSS skills and art will be appreciated. Mica, as long as you don't start popping your collar, I think things are okay.

Hey Kristen,

Thanks for the e-mail. Sad to say, my life is, like, 138902189307489327432(times pi) less exciting and media-related that everyone else's who has posted. (Also, my grammar is about five times worse.) This summer, I'm going to work at the Virginia State Bar, pretty much just doing odd jobs and planning for their annual conference. And maybe, I'll make a new montage or something. I also am applying for the job at Newcomb as graphic design assistant, but it looks like there is some my-ass kicking to be done. Enough with the self-deprecating commments, though. Guide service is slowly taking over my life in an unavoidable and somewhat frightening sort of way, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I'm initiated at the end of April.

Anyway, back to homework.

Congrats to the 7 who made the major! Anyways, talk about timing: I just finished coding and validating a website to use up my lonely UVA server space when I decided to check my e-mail... I'm very much just looking forward to the end of the semester and awaiting a response from Newcomb on my application for a job there next semester as either a graphic designer or a projectionist, but this Summer Web Intensive has me intrigued as well. I'll have to figure out if I can be in Charlottesville for all 4 weeks of the class. I've also joined the Gamers Club's officers as a co-webmaster, which is pretty exciting as we already have a really nice site (http://uvagamers.com/) and I've been meaning to teach myself PHP over the summer anyways. The new version of the website looks great and browsing through all those Flickr photos makes me really wish that I had taken your ENWR class...

Hey Kristen,
website looks great and very awesome about your students. Not too much to report-things are going great just crazy rehearsing for the next 3 weeks...as I am sure you are crazy as well with the end of the semester getting nearer. We found an apartment that is great and we are signing the leasing contract on thursday-so that's one thing to check off the list. Besides that, nothin else is new. Hope all is well with you. love you

Hi Kristen,
The end of this semester is beginning to look like the start of some stellar things that I still can't really believe might come true. I'm heading to NYC soon for an interview in the web department of NYLON magazine (nylonmag.com and guys.nylonmag.com). I also plan to apply for the webmaster position at the Women's Center (womenscenter.virginia.edu) and will be finishing up my web internship at iris magazine here at UVA. As you probably have heard, iris is going on some sort of vague "hiatus" for a semester or two, but I'm trying my best to make contact with the WC and figure out what the bloddy is going down. Everything else is rocking out and I'm trying not to count my chickens. Right now the biggest problem on my plate is-will I get a ticket to see Neko tonight? Hope all is well with you. And for everyone else: don't forget to come to iris magazine's FAITH issue release party this THURSDAY from 7-10 pm at the TEA BAZAAR. See you then.

oh yea, please dont judge me on the zaniness or lack thereof in my website, i am planning a big rehaul so look out for that. peace-

Kristen,
No wonder your students are doing well. I am always impressed by your design aesthetics, simplicity and accuracy. Really like the new blog and additions to the site. Please contact me as I am looking into a new website.
