Big Conference on the Silicon Prairie

I’d rathered have been in the Silicon Hills or on the Silicon Range, but last Friday found me galloping instead from the Dallas-Ft. Worth airport toward the Hyatt Regency Dallas for the annual PBS Showcase meeting.

Charlottesville holds a Dogwood Festival in April, but it wasn’t until last weekend that my friend Dana and I were able to celebrate the occasion. Heavily influenced by America’s Next Top Model (ANTM), we decided to host a party to crown Charlottesville’s Next Top Dogwood (CNTD).

The Adventures of Arabella: Public Radio Talent Quest episode

For the past month, I have known about the Quest. Yesterday was the final day to vocally tilt at the windmill that is the Public Radio Talent Quest, the brightest hope for public radio to include new voices in an elimination contest from user submissions.
